Hello, I’m Han, a counsellor/psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals to heal and navigate life’s challenges. I offer therapy in a safe and supportive environment and feel privileged to walk alongside individuals on their journey towards healing and growth.
My therapeutic approach:
In therapy, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to provide an individualised treatment plan. Working from a multidisciplinary framework, I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Within a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I help clients to explore the deeper roots of emotional struggles, fostering insight to facilitate lasting transformation, and empower clients in developing coping strategies and enhancing self-awareness.
My experiences:
I have helped clients overcome anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, relationship challenges, and self-identity concerns. Drawing from my personal experiences, I have special interest in working with clients who have experienced developmental and childhood trauma, recognizing the profound impact these experiences can have on one’s life. I also have a keen interest in providing compassionate support to individuals facing grief & loss, end-of-life issues, and existential concerns.
My philosophy:
Central to my practice is the belief in the importance of creating a non-judgmental and validating space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe in the power of collaboration and respect the unique experiences and perspectives that each client brings to therapy. Together, we work towards setting meaningful goals and navigating the path towards healing and fulfillment. I believe that people have the innate capacity of solving problems and overcoming challenges and see my role as assisting individuals in identifying obstacles in their paths and rediscovering their strengths.
It takes courage to seek counselling but i believe that receiving genuine empathy, respect, understanding and acceptance during therapy, can help to alleviate symptoms of emotional or psychological distress.
