“ How liberating it is to pursue wholeness instead of perfection”         MHNichols

Hi there! I’m Mimi.

I am a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming counsellor and life coach working with teens and adults.

My goal is to walk with you on the path of healing, positive change, empowerment and well-being. Years ago, I had my own experience of going through a difficult time without therapeutic support and that led me to this work. I know that there are days in life when we may need a safe space and a warm, open-hearted listener to support us as we heal and achieve our best dreams. I would like to be that person for you.

Working with Teens and Young Adults:
Drawing on many years of training and experience as an educator and school counselor, I am always excited to support teens and young adults navigate life’s challenges including understanding and removing blocks that are keeping them from living their most awesome life.

Working with Adults:
Are you feeling stuck because of anxiety, stress or low moods or perhaps you need a safe space to understand your relationships? Are there traumatic life events that you want to sort out and process? Do you want to explore what past programming you might need to update? Are you feeling empty and disconnected from yourself and others? Are you experiencing a transition in mid-life, a divorce, a “dark night of the soul”? These are some of the issues that my clients share with me. My job is to understand, be attuned to you, gently guide and support you as we journey together towards your healing. I respect and honor that everybody has a different way of processing and healing and I fully embrace tailoring modalities, approaches and tools according to your unique needs.

Working with ADHD :
Have you just received a diagnosis and you are finding it challenging to understand this new identity? Are you experiencing the daily struggle of ADHD symptoms or executive functioning challenges at work, home or school? Do you feel like your ADHD symptoms are holding you back from getting things done? Let’s work together using tools and techniques that use your ADHD strengths to help you achieve your goals.

Most of all, here is what I want you to know about me: I love helping my clients figure out what’s getting in their way and discover their amazing inner resources. I’ve got their backs as we sit together in our common, messy, beautiful humanity, supporting them through the grief and the low points. And I celebrate together with them as they overcome their challenges, embrace healthy coping strategies, always cheering on the big and small wins.
